Design in Complexity

People, Products & Systems

Hello, I’m Adrian! I am a recent graduate in Product Design with a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design and a Master’s degree in Design in Complexity from OsloMet. My education has given me a broad and interdisciplinary foundation in design, combining hands-on craftsmanship, digital tools, and systems thinking to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.

Through my Bachelor’s degree, I developed a strong understanding of design methods and processes for structuring, executing, and delivering projects. Working in workshops equipped with a wide range of tools and machinery allowed me to explore rapid prototyping, material properties, and experimentation, while digital disciplines such as graphic design, 3D modeling, CNC machining, and laser cutting introduced me to the intersection between physical and digital products.

My Master’s degree in Design in Complexity challenged me to rethink what design can be. Through systemic design thinking, I learned to investigate complex systems where isolated solutions are rarely sufficient, and where interventions must be considered within a broader social, technological, and environmental context. Rather than focusing solely on solving symptoms, I have become interested in understanding the underlying causes of problems and identifying opportunities for meaningful and lasting change. This perspective has shaped the way I approach design today.

I am passionate about understanding the relationships between people, products, and systems, and I am excited to bring a thoughtful, collaborative, and curious mindset into my professional career as a designer.
